What's going on people and welcome back to my blog. By now you all must have understood that I paint a lot. This blog is about a canvas that I made and it has quite a story behind it.
It was 2018, during my summer break when I decided to make a canvas on the years's theme in UAE which was The Year of Zayed.
Sheikh Zayed was a very visionary leader who managed to get together 7 emirates and make the UAE a paradise. It was all a land of sand, but with the determination of Sheikh Zayed it is what it is now. Home to the tallest building in the world at this time and having many tourist attractions UAE is a place you would want to visit. Last year was Zayed's 100th Birthday and therefore the year of 2018 was named after him.
Now that I had made my plans of what the painting was going to be based upon, I started thinking about what else other than Zayed's portrait would I incorporate. That took a lot of time and I finally got the idea while discussing with my father about making the important features of UAE.
Later, I started drawing down what I wanted to keep in the painting. After that was done, I didn't feel like painting in that canvas at all because it seemed so complex and time consuming. So, it tagged along all summer then winter and eventually the whole year.
2019 begun and I still hadn't completed my painting. That was when my parents made me do my painting. I sat along with my father late at night and finally finished my painting. When I was painting it, I suddenly felt that this painting wasn't that hard after all. All I needed was the excitement and wanting to do the canvas.
I learnt that I shouldn't anticipate things without having any experience and that I should be willing to do what I have taken up and finish the work.
